Goddess Skandamātā

Skandamātā is the Fifth form of Goddess Durga and is revered as the mother of Lord Skanda, also known as Kartikeya. Skandamātā is known for her unconditional love and devotion towards her child. She is often depicted holding her son on her lap, protecting him from any harm that may come his way. In many depictions, Skandamātā is seen wearing a lotus mala (rosary) around her neck. This mala is a symbol of spiritual growth, purity, and enlightenment. It represents the journey towards spiritual awakening and the attainment of higher consciousness.
