We all have goals we wish to fulfill. And we all face resistance.

External resistance is inevitable; internal resistance is sabotage.

We are the ones who stand in our own way.

Our mind and our body work against our wishes; In this process we see a split in our personality; an internal friction that stalls us from moving forward; a hesitation that stagnates us and keeps us in a loop of self blame and failure.

In a world wired for instant pleasure, our likes and dislikes have become our masters. We live inside a feedback loop of dopamine - chasing comfort, avoiding effort.

Nothing wrong with pleasure. The danger begins when your “likes” decide your life.

Self-mastery isn’t control. It’s clarity.

Not isolation on a mountain, not fasting till the cheat day, not bending your body into spiritual origami. It’s seeing that the happiness you chase lives inside your own circuitry - and you’ve handed the remote to the world.

If we are completely satisfied with our current way of life, no issues. Continue doing whatever you are doing.

But if regret stings - for mornings slept through, for chances lost to impulse - then it’s time to rewrite your code.

As the Oracle told Neo:

“You didn’t come here to make the choice; you’ve already made it. You’re here to understand why.”

Start there.

What begins as Retrospection slowly transforms into an active vigilant process. This process creates a gap between your body’s craving and your action of satisfying it. A gap is all it takes. With time the gap widens.

And that gap is freedom.
