Are you entertained? Like the gladiator, we wake up everyday, juggle through the day, ask this question over and over to the invisible audience. What is the ‘more’ we can do to entertain this audience that seems to not be there but still is, waiting for the next big a-ha. I can do better, be better, rewrite history, change the course, make it all different. We have so tapped out, now villains have origin stories. The unpredictable is the new predictable. Epic stories, innumerable perspectives, choose sides, dance the dance, let us please for god sake, not be bored. Or worse, be termed boring. Laugh louder, play harder, showcase. Things have gotten more and more frivolous, ‘experiences’ are copies of copies… It is all over. Let it be. Let us give up.

Take a breath, allow ourselves the break. What is reality? Maybe the 2 year covid house arrest and the fear that may still be within us, divorces, deaths, and also births, flowers blooming everyday, trees with new leaves, art, dogs trying so hard to keep up with us, cats ridiculing us. LET US TAKE A BREAK and see that all is not about us. Let us actually feel, grieve, touch joy, smile suddenly, tear up as something erupts within us, close our eyes and pause. Let us read, appreciate, wonder all that we have done so far. Rest in the accomplishment of that. Nothing is about us. And maybe that scares us. Maybe makes us turn against each other, getting lost in a game we created to prove otherwise and now, have seriously lost the plot. So, that’s it folks. Get bored, be boring and get the hell out of this really mediocre script we are not able to stop building on. All this pain is really unnecessary.
